Portobello - Vibrant Suburb in Dublin Portobello is a laidback cosmopolitan suburb of Dublin, perfect for people travelling with kids! Phibsborough - Lively place in Dublin In the north of the city centre, Phibsboroughis one of Dublin’s most charming and coolest neighbourhoods. After undergoing a huge transformation, Phibsborough has become a new trendy spot for the younger population of the city to open cute, pretty shops and café in abandoned buildings. A great balance between urban city life in Victorian architecture. If you want to enjoy Dublin’s nightlife but also want to avoid the busyness, this is where you would want to stay! Even if you do not end up booking a hotel here, just go for the upscale experience of world-class restaurants and modern architecture. (BONUS) Where not to stay Generally, Dublin is a very safe place for tourists and travellers but there are some places that you can avoid.
