Amazing architectural site: Ashford Castle

This castle holds an extraordinary historic story inside. You can visit the place and learn about it through the local guides. You can even stay here at night, in five-star accommodation. It was donated to the Irish government by the Guinness family.

It was recently voted number nine by Conde Nast Traveller Magazine readers in the World’s top 50 hotels. Knowing about it’s historical significance along with walking through the castle is one of the best things to do in Mayo experience.

There’s a forest park near the castle known as Cong Wood. It has a lot of walking trails, and you can also practice fishing in the lakes here. It’s stunning, and you would like to take a look around here.
